THE ART OF IMPRESSIONIST PHOTOGRAPHY
By: Fely Sorensen

Impressionist photography is a style in which the artist captures the image of an object as someone would see it if they just caught a glimpse of it. The images are created with  color and most of the subjects are outdoor or nature scenes.

Lacking in detail, impressionist images emphasize color over line and are often soft dreamy and have a painterly feel.

"My work is always better when I am alone and follow my own impressions."  --- Claude Monet
